Which reminds me. Every time I've bought an OS upgrade ( for as long as I can remember - probably back to OS 7 ) there has been a set of coupons included to prove that I purchased it. Has there ever been a scheme where customers actually get something in exchange for those coupons ?
I believe there was a coupon upgrade program for 10.0 to 10.1. It was a "free" upgrade that cost $19.95 if you ordered the CD from the online store, but there were some copies available free of charge at some retail locations (this was pre-brick and mortar Apple Stores) like CompUSA and Fry's while supplies lasted. Many retailers didn't require proof of 10.0 ownership as the 10.1 was upgrade-only and thus useless to people who didn't have 10.0 installed already, but some asked for proof of purchase for 10.0. The coupon generally satisfied that requirement (as would a sales receipt).

Who says I pirated anything? All I was trying to say, is that it really gets tiring to see this back and forth every time any preview comes out. We all know that people have to agree to not disclose things. We all also know that most people ignore that requirement. It doesn't do any good to remind anyone of non-disclosure agreements. Lol ok buddy. Hope your not waiting for there to be a backlit keyboard in the air because I doubt there will be. Apple took it out of the MBA for a reason not for the heck of it

Here are some other reasons: a 2 kg mbp 13 is a little bit too heavy for me as i need to travel around with a notebook to process my photos. 2 years ago i sold my t61 and replaced it with a x61 because t61 is too heavy and the cdrom is really useless to me. so when i got that the 2011 new mbp is equipped with a superdrive, i was really disappointed.

this microcrap "zuno" thing looks like it's made from cheap plastic, you know the kind that dell moniters use where the "silver" color wears off the buttons shockingly fast. also maybe they should redesign their media player software to look like they player design that they pick. that would help the integrated feel their shooting for.

I know there's a "don't prompt me next time" box that pops up in the itunes settings on OS X.

Me too. Appstore ask me to enter my pw every time I purchase something from my iPhone or my iPod Touch (even if it's a free app).

Since I don't have a "Family Pack": Could you have a look at the license and check whether it would allow installing on three Macs plus in a virtual machine on two of these Macs for a total of five copies?

Sounds plausible. I don't know what else Apple can add to its existing iPod line besides small improvements... a few of their recent "revolutions" (buttonless Shuffle, touch-screen nano) have actually been steps backward, imo.

Well Apple has used up all the "big cat" names like Tiger and Lion which means that either OS 11 is underway or they will be in the embarassing situation of having to use lesser cat names which imply "less".

Apple once again confirmed that more and more people are moving in the Mac camp. The stock is still cheap. In the next 6 months we will see more switchers as new products come out.
