What about those of us that bought MBP's in August? The upgrades weren't in the forcast! Ugh, I really hate it when this happens!
That's why you should have been patient. :)

Their are many factors why this is true and I will list the them in order of which ones I think are the most important.
1. The people who will jump to any carrier just to have the iPhone will, and have done so in the last four years. Those people have iPhones already. They are not likely to pay 100-300 dollars to break contract go to T-Mo then pay another 200$ for an iphone with contract.
2. Android: Yes I have to say it but it is true. People feel less of a need for an iphone when they can get android Phones cheaper. Also people are being lured in by many of android's commercials that make the phones look so good. When a T-mobile customer sees a commercial for a thunderbolt they want that phone. They end up getting a High end phone on network. It is even getting more popular on the iPhone networks, AT&T for the most part ignored the android because it had the iPhone. Then after millions of customers came into the stores demanding not iPhones but Androids AT&T had to reconsider. Face it android is changing the game. People are seeing the android as less of an alternative to iPhones if you can't afford it or not on your carrier but more as a real iphone beater.
Yeah it will not help if they where to obtain the iPhone. But for the most part it will not make a huge difference to them. Also Verizon did not need apple to put the iPhone on the its network, Apple needed to Put its iPhone on Verizons network. Verizon's droid line was becoming a major threat to iPhones.'
In all it will help T-mobile to get the iPhone as much as me getting into a steady relationship: It will help but it will not change things in the long run.

Can anyone confirm if the battery life has improved?
Unfortunately, no! My wife's 3GS lost 33% overnight after a full charge :(
I just did the normal update. Next I am going to try to just install 4.3.2 and setup as new and not restore any data and see if stock install still has issue to rule out some corrupt setting/data.

Yes, white is beautiful, but I think it has to come with, at least, a small upgrade to make up for the late arrival. Perhaps 1GB of RAM or a bump in processor speed. Ill consider it then, if its just a white iPhone 4 then I think Ill wait for iPhone 5... although it looks sexy as hell in white.

Interesting view but?
Suing your supplier is tricky but,
Suing your largest customer is STUPID. Apple can likely find other sources but customers the size of Apple?
Never happen. They have a death wish.
How is 4% of their revenue a death wish for a company that is about twice the size of Apple as far as revenue goes and has a foothold in many industries outside of Apple's circle ?
No, these are clear negotiation tactics on the part of corporations. Apple doesn't care that Samsung is suing them and will continue to source part from them and Samsung doesn't give a hoot that Apple is suing them, they will continue to sell them parts.

This is definitely a good thing. Apple has great products and with the Intel processor Macs they offer something that others cannot. Mac/Windows on the same machine without too much headache.
I have talked to people around me and everyone seems excited about this. Many said before that they would never switch to a Mac because it cannot run Windows, well that changed. So people are starting to realize all the possibilities that they have if do do buy an Apple product.
I bought a MacBook Pro a while ago and I absolutely love it. Every time I run the 'hostinfo' command I get a little suprised to see the "Intel 80486" part in the output, because we have been staying away from Intel chips for so long. But it does feel and act like a Mac, and even I bought Parallels just o be able to run Windows next to my OS X. It works really well and is fast!
I hope that this growth will continue. This will be good for the users and for Apple as well.

What a bunch on whining individuals you are.
"this belongs on page 2"
"enough of this, page 2"
Yeah, yeah, all we know now is that it's becoming increasingly clear that the next generation iPhone is scheduled for a September release, end of story
stop whining geez

I don't care what anyone says, even "Microsoft". Until an amendment is apply to the licensee agreement, I'm going to use it the way it is stated. I'm not going to install the software in a virtual machine on the licensed device.
My guess is the licensee, either is correct as written, or they will release a new agreement when the actual product ships. If MS intends for thier software not to be installed in a VM, they will clarify in the license agreement.

In Japan and Korea iRiver currently has one or two mp3/pmp wi-max players which is doing decent for what it is. But the wi-Max is only for multiplayer games it offers, plus all those odd things the have available there wi-max can use.

I have to wonder how many people discussing audio quality buy their movies from iTunes vs Blu-Ray.
Just asking since apparently those people are so concerned with getting optimal performance from their media.
Not to take this off topic - but too many people have been duped by all the streaming serves and cable companies to believe they're getting a true HD experience when, in fact, they aren't because of the astronomical bitrate difference between what can be streamed vs delivered by hard media at current.
I don't have a blu-ray player and have no plans on buying one. I also don't have an HD TV, still using a 10+ year old Sony Trinitron. It's not broke so it's not getting replaced till it is.
I buy all my TV shows and on iTunes in HD and watch them on my 15" MBP. I buy movies on iTunes as well as I don't rent and haven't in over 15 years.
Even if Amazon has 69 cent songs, I will likely continue buying on iTunes. Over the past year, most music has been purchased on my iPhone while I am out. Can't do that with Amazon.

Let me help you out, since you've got it wrong.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vendor_(supply_chain)
I never said they weren't a vendor. Let me help you out...try reading the post.
What I was getting at, because a Vendor can provide anything from software to consultants to hardware to designs, is that it's important to note that Samsung doesn't design the parts. They just manufacture them.
And, let's be clear - this is the definition of Vendor:
vendor
noun
1.
a person or agency that sells.

Why on earth would this happen? Why would they edit it to include the ix.Mac.MarketingName? I don't understand. Is there any logical explanation? I don't think it is a typo because I don't think Apple is stupid enough to edit it just in order to put a typo in. Weird.
Its humans at work - probably a human clicked a wrong button that added this thing with some placeholder name ... most likely means nothing or if anything than updated appleTV to run apps.
Universal MacOS/iOS apps just don't make sense (controlling the apps is just too different) and a apple branded TV makes no sense (appleTV does the trick for this and that way you don't have to buy an expensive TV to get the latest hardware - you just add it to the TV of your choice)

MBP doesn't have a fast enough GPU. I use my iMac primarily for development. Need raw GHz, not so much multiple-cores.
Won't sell it. It'll be handed down to family.
ok that makes sense.
anyway people, iMac does not keep the resale value compared to the MB/MBPs they are very good machine though.
I loved mine, it has been for two years, booting from external SSD, very nice for my usage.

Is the reset you're referring to is in Settings - General -Reset - Reset all settings? Will it erase the sms/messages or email accounts setting?
Thx
All of the preferences you have set on the iPhone will be set back to factory default, but your data and media will still remain on the device.

Precisely!
This is utter nonsense, Apple doesn't enter markets where they can't succeed if not dominate. With all the less expensive options out there, how well do the $999 Cinema Displays sell? Exactly. :)
Besides, there already is an Apple TV.
Another case where fantasy trumps fact. Question: what happened to Xserve?
